We live in the last days where through Jesus Christ and one Holy Spirit we have access to God the Father. God is gracious to communicate to us through prophecy. Scripture is the ultimate and highest authority, but prophecy is still a true revelation from God and authoritative. All believers in the new covenant community have the Spirit and at any time can be given the gift of prophecy for the common good, and as Paul says, do not despise prophetic utterances.
