Pentecost was the final component of a single transaction including the cross, burial, resurrection, ascension, and pouring out of the promised Holy Spirit to fulfill the scriptures. This event of the Holy Sprint poured out on God’s people was signified by tongues of fire over each head, a fulfillment of Old Testament prophesy.
