Prophesying the Kingdom of God

Topic: Sermons Passage: Micah 1:1– 7:20
Describing the coming Kingdom of God, the prophets build upon the Davidic Covenant, God’s promise to build David a house (lineage) which David expounds upon in the Psalms (8, 16, 22, 110).
Micah, one example of the prophets, wrote down his prophecy, which is divided into three parts:
- Exposing apostasy
- Judgement for this apostasy
- Repentance and restoration
God promises to save people from all nations as they come to the Mountain of God, Zion, and forgive all their iniquities because he delights in unchanging love.
