The impulse to serve lies at the heart of deity.
Jesus, our Lord and king, showed his love for his disciples in washing their feet, and told them (and us) that we ought to wash one another's feet.
Let us examine ourselves-do you love your brothers and sisters? Are you washing their dirty, stinky feet? Or are you too prideful, self-absorved, or bitter, holding petty grudges for small offenses?
