A Wicked Throne, A Faithful Prophet

In the days of wicked King Ahab and his idolatrous wife Jezebel, Israel plunged into gross idolatry that provoked the living God to send drought and famine as judgment. God raised up His faithful prophet Elijah, who stood alone against 850 false prophets, calling the people of Israel to stop wavering and choose the true and living God who alone deserves whole-hearted worship. Though the world will always view truth-tellers as “troublers,” God’s people must proclaim His Word boldly, knowing that only He can change hearts and bring repentance, rest, and true satisfaction in Christ.
