Pixels of Love 2: Be Sympathetic

November 20, 2022 Speaker: Chris Greer Series: 1 Peter: Following Jesus as Exiles

Topic: Sermons Passage: 1 Peter 3:8–9, Isaiah 63:9, Romans 12:15, 2 Corinthians 11:28–29, 1 Corinthians 12:21–27, Galatians 6:2, Romans 15:3, Hebrews 4:14–16, 1 Thessalonians 3:12

Paul is calling the church to genuine, heartfelt sensitivity to the condition of one another, how well each one in the body is doing whether healthy or unhealthy.

Sympathetic-to suffer with/alongside someone; passion/suffering terminology; you feel what they feel (Rom 12:15 rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep)

Gal 6:2. Fulfill the Law of Christ - the principle of love causing us to bear one another’s burdens

Do you care about how your brethren are doing spiritually?
Are you seeking to integrate with the body that they might receive from you and you from them?

1 Thes 3:12. Pray that your/our Love may abound more and more for one another and for all people!
