Just as all people submit to and honor governing authorities, slaves also should submit with all respect or fear to their masters, even the unreasonable. The principle of bearing up under sorrow when suffering unjustly finding favor with God applies to all men, including slaves. You can and ought to serve the Lord, walking with God, in whatever state you were called.
