Isaiah 52: Zion, The City of God

April 10, 2022 Speaker: Steve Cowden Series: The New Covenant in Christ

Topic: Sermons Passage: Isaiah 52:1–2, Psalm 87:1–7, Isaiah 61:1–2

Those who come to the city of God are citizens of the holy city, Jerusalem, and they are born there. This is fulfilled in the new covenant as people are born again.
Jerusalem and Zion become synonymous as the symbols of the object of God’s love, salvation, and dwelling; this is the people of God.
Be strong in the Lord, clothe yourself with strength! God has commanded His people to take action to walk with him and serve Him in righteous faithfulness.
