Abram's Wealth is a Blessing from the Lord

July 19, 2020 Speaker: Steve Cowden Series: Abraham: A Picture of Discipleship

Topic: Sermons Passage: Genesis 14:21–24, Genesis 24:34–35, Deuteronomy 8:17–18, 1 Samuel 2:7–9, James 1:27

When Abram returned from rescuing Lot and the people of Sodom, the king of Sodom met him saying, “Give me the persons, but take the goods for yourself.”  Abram did not give in to the temptation to keep the wicked goods, both because he lifted his hand to the LORD and so wicked men would not say they had made him rich. He wanted first and foremost to serve and glorify the LORD and as God blessed him with wealth in accordance with His promise.
