Abraham a Pattern of Discipleship 1 - God's Restoration

May 31, 2020 Speaker: Steve Cowden Series: Abraham: A Picture of Discipleship

Topic: Sermons Passage: Genesis 12:4– 13:18

After God rescues Abraham from his faithless choices, he and Sarah left Egypt and went back to where he was at the beginning where he built an altar to the LORD; God graciously restores him.
Jesus said blessed are the peacemakers, and Abraham sought peace by humbly giving the best opportunity to his younger nephew. And when he did, the LORD affirmed his great promises to Abraham, encouraging him to walk through the land and reflect on these promises-just as ought to meditate on the promises of God to us in Christ.
He builds another altar to the LORD to remember his acceptance and fellowship with God.
