We are our brothers’ and sisters’ keepers, and how we are doing in the Lord really matters. Through mutual encouragement and accountability we can keep one another from the deceitfulness of sin.
Psalm 95 holds up the confidence we should have in knowing the Lord and his ways contrasted with Israel’s hardened heart, those who did not know God's ways.
We see the appropriate (joy erupting in song!) and inappropriate (hard hearted err, abandoning God) responses to God's ways, which often include trials.
Israel did not know God’s ways; this ignorance is what led them to err and harden their hearts.
God brings trials to test us and strengthen our faith!!
