Longing For the Return of Christ

What is in the believer's heart when thinking about Jesus' return?
There are 3 major aspects of the second coming we will consider:

• Resurrection - we long to have glorified bodies like our Lord Jesus; more than being with the Lord in spirit only, but also being clothed with our heavenly dwelling
• Justice - we long for all things to be made right and for justice to be ultimately done to all God’s enemies, for every knee to bow to Jesus
• Marriage - we long for greater closeness with our Lord and savior, Jesus Christ, the consummation of our union to him

In light of these truths, we ought to long for Christ’s return and say with the Spirit and the bride, “come Lord Jesus!”
