Faithful in Suffering

Paul wrote 2 Thes for three main purposes:
1. Encourage the persecuted church to remain faithful because God is a righteous judge
2. Admonish and correct them to not be carried away by false ideas of the second coming and the day of the lord
3. Admonish them to not be carried away by compromising and idle brethren

Chapter 1:
V1-2. Greeting them in the grace of God
V3-5. Commended for suffering faithfully. Their faith and love are growing!

Suffering is a tool in the hand of the Lord to bring right focus and priority, to purify our faith and bring himself more glory and honor.
